The natural gas balancing platform (PB-GAS) is managed by an information system,
to which Participants have access through the Internet.
Access to the PB-GAS information system takes place under security procedures based
on digital identification systems (smart cards), which authenticate the electronic
signature and the conclusion of gas purchase and sale contracts. The digital certificate
for access to the PB-GAS is issued by CNIPA-certified certification companies. The
certificate must be compliant with CNIPA’s Decision - Digit PA - No. 45 of 21 May
2009, as subsequently amended and supplemented (DTcommissario 69-2010).
The PB-GAS is operated from GME’s trading room, which is equipped with all the hardware
and software components which collect and process transactions under maximum security
conditions. The trading room personnel members ensure the continuous operation of
the systems and provide support to Participants.
