Platform for the allocation of regasification capacity (PAR) – auctions for the allocation of annual and multi-annual regasification capacity in the FSRU ITALIA/Ravenna segment: amendments to Technical Rule no. 13 PAR and start of blank tests

GME informs market participants that, as of today, with the publication on its website, the updated version of Technical Rule no. 13 PAR (Technical Rule no. 13 rev. 09 PAR) will enter into force. The Technical Rule has been amended to further specify, at the request of FRSU ITALIA, the criteria for the application of quarterly and monthly constraints to which – according to the Regasification Code of the FRSU ITALIA/Ravenna terminal - the procedures for planning the unloading dates of the FRSU Italia/Ravenna segment must be aligned.

In this regard, GME will organise blank test sessions, in view of the forthcoming procedure for the allocation of annual and multi-annual regasification capacity in the “FSRU ITALIA/Ravenna segment” of the PAR;

Interested parties may test the functionality of the PAR – FRSU ITALIA/Ravenna segment – for the above-mentioned annual and multi-annual allocations and for the consequent phase of post-session planning of the unloading date.

In particular, the blank test sessions will be held on 25 June through the test platform available at https://provepar.ipex.it., with the following timetable:

  1. the sitting for submission of bids/offers will be open from 09:00 to 12:00;
  2. the results will be published at 12:30;
  3. the opening of the post-session planning phase will take place from 14:00 to 16:00;
  4. the results of the planning phase will be published at 16:30.

Parties wishing to take part in the blank tests without being PAR participants may request the credentials for access to the test platform by writing to proveGas@mercatoelettrico.org. To acquire the status of PAR participant, the applicant must submit an appropriate application for participation in the platform by using the documents available on GME’s website at Forms.

PAR participants may instead access the test platform with the same credentials as those used for logging into the live platform.

For any query concerning the tests and the functioning of the PAR, please contact GME at proveGas@mercatoelettrico.org.

The data entered during the tests will not be used for operational purposes.

Phone scams

Following some reports received by telephone and email to Gestore dei Mercati Energetici S.p.A. ("GME"), it seems that these telephone calls are made by a supposed "GME Office" and/or so-called GME operators, regarding proposals to change the electricity and/or gas supplier due to increases in cost of energy, not properly specified, or problems in the current supply, which were followed, in some cases, by emails with similar content.

It should be remembered that GME is completely unrelated to the event mentioned above. We would like to clearly state that we do not provide, in any way, commercial services such as those described above. Furthermore, we do not use communication methods with our clients such as those outlined above.

When in doubt, we always suggest to make sure of the above by contacting your current electricity and/or gas supplier according to the contact methods made available by the same. In any case, we suggest to avoid any possible follow up about proposals such as those highlighted above, in order not to face any unpleasant inconveniences.
