With regard to the implementation of provisions concerning the consolidation stage referred to in TIDE, GME, in agreement with Terna, informs market participants that the go-live is confirmed for 1 February 2026 (day of flow).
1. MAKING AVAILABLE THE NEW IDENTIFICATION DATA OF UNITS
The consolidation stage of TIDE provides, in particular, that all the types of units other than UASs, UnAPs, and units corresponding to cross-border trades will be created under the new criteria referred to in TIDE and that, consequently, they will adopt a new coding (new identification data).
To enable market participants to verify the new identification data of units (namely, the identification codes of units/portfolios to which bids/offers and nominations must refer), which will enter into force as of the day of flow of 1 February 2026, the new identification data will be made available on the various platforms according to the following procedures and timing:
- MGP, MI-A (IPEX platform):
- the new identification data of units will be available from 26 January 2026 and, from that date on, the units will be attributed to the respective BRP. Therefore, from 26 January on, market participants may submit bids/offers into the MGP, which will be valid for the day of flow of 1 February 2026 only on portfolios consisting of the new units that they hold as BRPS;
- the delegations on the new units, valid from the day of flow of 1 February 2026, will be available from 29 January 2026 and, from that date on, the units will be attributed to the respective BRP or to the delegated market participant. Therefore, from 29 January on, markets participants may submit bids/offers into the MGP, which will be valid for the days of flow of 1 February 2026 and subsequent days even on portfolios consisting of the new units that they hold as delegated market participants;
- MI-XBID:
- the new identification data of units and the delegations on the new units, valid from the day of flow of 1 February 2026, will be available from 31 January 2026 at 15:30 and, from that time on, the units will be attributed to the respective BRP or to the delegated market participant;
- Nomination Platform (new platform)
- the registration of nominations for the days of flow of 1 February 2026 and subsequent days must be made on a new Nomination Platform, which will be available from 26 January 2026 at the following addresses:
- platform: https://ns.ipex.it/nsweb
- webservice: https://ns.ipex.it/nsws/service.asmx
- the new identification data of units will be available from 26 January 2026 and, from that date on, the units will be attributed to the respective BRP;
- the delegations on the new units, valid from the day of flow of 1 February 2026, will be available from 27 January 2026 and, from that date on, the units will be attributed to the respective BRP or to the delegated market participant;
- the margins of withdrawal UVZs, valid from the day of flow of 1 February 2026, must be set by the respective BRPs by using the appropriate option available on the new Nomination Platform from 26 January 2026. In this regard, it is worth specifying that the margins may be loaded (via the XML file upload option) in the same format as the current one. Only for the units under delegation whose BRP is not at the same time a market participant, the notification of the margins to be set on withdrawal UVZs must be made by the delegated market participant, by transmitting to GME the appropriate form (link), duly completed by the delegating BRP. The margins valid on withdrawal UVZs from the day of flow of 1 February 2026, as set via the Nomination Platform, will be made available on IPEX from 15 to 18 on 30 January 2026. After this deadline, the margins set via the Nomination Platform will be concurrently transferred to and visible on IPEX;
- PCE:
- the new identification data of units will be available from 26 January 2026 and, from that date on, the units will be attributed to the respective BRP;
- the delegations on the new units, valid from 1 February 2026, will be available from 27 January 2026 and, from that date on, the units will be attributed to the respective BRP or delegated market participant.
